Automated Next Stop Announcement System trial program Aug 26, 2010 Read More
Beginning Monday, August 30 a trial program of the new Automated Next Stop Announcement System (NSAS) will run on 10 of our buses. Buses will automatically call out each stop in both official languages. As well, a new interior sign will display the stop name, Route and direction, and the current time of day.

Student ID cards must be renewed every year. The cost of the photo ID is $6.25 and applies for monthly, semester and annual passes.
In addition to getting your OC Transpo Photo ID card at your school or campus, they can be purchased at the OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres as well as on certain dates and times at the Client Service Centres in Kanata and Ottawa. During the School ID blitz, the Sales and Information Centres will have extended hours of operation, which will be available on-line soon.

Get ready for a universal public transit pass (U-Pass) starting in September!
The U-Pass is for full time students at Carleton University and the University of Ottawa only.
The U-Pass is valid from September 2010 to April 2011 and cannot be used prior to September 1, 2010.
The U-Pass pilot project is a partnership with the City of Ottawa, Carleton University, University of Ottawa, Carleton University Students’ Association, Carleton University Graduate Students’ Associations, the Graduate Students’ Association of the University of Ottawa and the Student Federation of the University of Ottawa.

Transitway Station Improvements on Albert and Slater Jun 14, 2010 Read More
From June 21 - September 20, the following 5 Transitway Stations along Albert and Slater Streets will be moved temporarily due to construction:
- Bank Station on Albert St
- Kent Station on Albert St
- Kent Station on Slater St
- Bank Station on Slater St
- Bay Station on Slater St.
Temporary platforms will be in service in lieu of each of the existing stations.

This work is the first stage of a two-stage project to upgrade the infrastructure of the Albert and Slater St Transitway Stations. Each of the stations will be reconfigured including the construction of new platforms, the replacement of existing shelters and the construction of concrete bus lanes within the bus station zone.
There are no detours as a result of this construction.
PLEASE NOTE: Customers who currently board Routes 27 and 40 at Kent Station on Slater St in the afternoon will have to instead catch their bus at the temporary platform located on Slater St., east of Kent St.
