Accessible Transit
Accessible transit is for everyone
Conventional OC Transpo buses are an option for people with mobility impairments. Many features and services are available to provide access to OC Transpo buses. Contact the Accessible Transit Specialist for further information or assistance.
Accessible OC Transpo Services
OC Transpo offers many features and options to assist customers with mobility or other difficulties, making conventional transit an option for everyone.
Conventional transit routes follow a regular schedule and route, and - compared to reserving trips in advance with Para Transpo - offer the freedom of travelling at your convenience. To use conventional transit, you must be able to get to and from the bus stop and be able to board the bus on your own or bring an attendant if you require help.
If you use conventional OC Transpo buses, you will also be able to take Para Transpo, if registered. Using conventional transit on a regular or occasional basis will not affect your status with Para Transpo.
OC Transpo's Accessible Transit Specialist
The Accessible Transit Specialist provides information on all accessible issues and will help bus riders, caregivers and family members become more familiar with accessible transit services. The Accessible Transit Specialist can also provide demonstrations and personalized assistance in learning how to use the transit system.
