Assistance Cards
Show your Assistance card to the bus operator
The cards listed below are provided to simplify transit travel for people with disabilities. These cards are all available free of charge at OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres.
Priority Seating
If you have an invisible disability that makes it difficult for you to stand in a moving transit vehicle, you can obtain a Priority Seating ID Card at no charge that identifies you as being eligible for priority seating.
Priority seats are designated on every OC Transpo bus for use by anyone who has difficulty standing in or walking to the back of the bus. This may include a senior citizen, a pregnant woman, or a passenger with mobility impairment.

Priority Seating cards are also recognized and accepted on the O-Train.
Please submit a completed application form.
Destination
Use a destination card to identify the bus stop where you want to disembark. Hand the card to the driver when you board - the driver will announce your stop when you arrive.
Destination cards are available free of charge at OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres.

Medical Emergency
The Medical Emergency Card contains valuable information about the customer - such as name, address, emergency contact, and medical condition - in the event they are unable to communicate in an emergency. It is usually carried with a bus pass.

Attendant
If you travel with an attendant for assistance, you may wish to use an Attendant Card that allows you to have an attendant ride with you at no charge on any OC Transpo route.
If you use a wheelchair or scooter, you do not need an Attendant card for your attendant to ride free.
Attendant Cards are issued with a photo of the customer who has a disability; attendants traveling with the customer may vary.
Attendant cards are recognized and accepted on the O-Train. Please submit a completed application form.
Service Animal
People travelling with service animals must acquire an OC Transpo Service Animal Card, which includes a photograph of the animal, or an identification card issued pursuant to section 2 of the Blind Persons' Rights Act. Refer to the By-Law, section 17 on Assistant Cards, and section 19.2.u on prohibitions.

Customers with guide dogs can use their one-piece Attorney-General of Ontario Guide Dog photo ID card as a Service Animal Card.
For registered riders who are unable to use conventional OC Transpo buses.
