Attendants and Companions
For Para Transpo riders
Attendant privileges are available for riders who require assistance to travel.
A companion may travel with a Para Transpo rider, and must pay full fare.
Attendants
Customers who cannot be safely left unattended on a vehicle or at a drop-off location, must be accompanied by an attendant. Para Transpo drivers cannot provide special assistance to customers while the vehicle is in transit and cannot ensure that customers are met by another person at the drop-off location.
Attendants do not pay a fare when traveling with the customer.
Customers who require an attendant will not receive Para Transpo service unless the attendant accompanies them.
Medical certification is required for attendant privileges, unless the customer is aged 5 or less.
