Service Animals
Welcome aboard

Service animals are welcome on board all OC Transpo vehicles, provided they are trained by a recognized school for service as a guide dog for the blind, visually impaired, deaf or hearing impaired, or a special skills dog for other persons with disabilities, and are trained by and registered with a recognized organization.
The animal must be on a leash or harness, under the handler’s supervision and control, and should not block the aisle.
People travelling with service animals must acquire an OC Transpo Service Animal Card, which includes a photograph of the animal, or an identification card issued pursuant to section 2 of the Blind Persons’ Rights Act. Refer to the By-Law, section 17 on Assistant Cards (Service Animals), and section 19.2.u on prohibitions.

Customers with guide dogs can use their one-piece Attorney-General of Ontario Guide Dog photo ID card as a Service Animal Card.
For registered riders who are unable to use conventional OC Transpo buses.
