Gold Permit Parking
Purchase a gold permit and reserve your parking space!
A Gold permit guarantees you a parking space on weekdays until 6:00 p.m.
Permits are limited and sold on a first come, first serve basis.
Gold Park & Ride permits are sold at the Sales and Information Centres, or by telephone at 613-741-4390.
Permits are on sale from the 15th of the previous month at a cost of $50.00 per month.
Customers will be asked to produce their current monthly or annual pass to purchase a permit.

Note: The gold permit maps are updated as required, but may not be current (as of today). If in doubt, refer to the Park & Ride lot signage which will indicate which spaces are designated for 'Gold permit' holders.
Presto Card Information
On July 1, 2012, OC Transpo will introduce the PRESTO smart card, which you can use to pay your fare on the bus.
Look for a new PRESTO card in the mail early in June - we will send it to you free of charge.
With PRESTO, you can choose to pay-per-month, like a monthly pass - or pay-per-ride, by keeping a balance on your card. As of June 10th you will be able to buy a July pass online at prestocard.ca or over the phone at 1-877-378-6123. You can also pay in person at an OC Transpo Sales Centre or at a City of Ottawa Client Service Centre (City Hall, Kanata and Ben Franklin).
PRESTO makes monthly payments easy. When you register your card at prestocard.ca, you can use the Autoload feature to automatically renew your pass each month. That way, you're always good to go!
PRESTO will replace OC Transpo paper passes - and as of July, we will no longer include a paper bus pass in the mail when we send your monthly parking permit. This means that if you have a pre-authorized agreement in place to pay for your pass and parking permit, you will not be charged for a July bus pass. As of July you will only be charged for the Park & Ride permit, which we will continue to send to you through the mail.
Note that as of July 1, the new Gold parking permit fee will be $51.25 per month. The Baseline and Jeanne d'Arc Park & Ride permits will be $22.50 per month.
If you decide not to activate your PRESTO card for July, paper monthly passes and tickets will still be available for sale at OC Transpo pass and ticket vendors across the city.

Automatic Renewal Plan - Order by Phone Any Time
With automatic renewal, you avoid making monthly trips to buy a permit and don't have to worry about permits being sold out. Here’s how it works:
- Call 613-741-4390 to order your monthly permit or Gold permit and transit pass. TTY customers may call 613-741-5280.
- The first time you order, call before the 20th day of the month, to allow sufficient time for mailing.
- Pay with a credit card (MasterCard, Visa or American Express). We’ll deduct the cost of your permit and pass each month around the 15th.
- Your permit and transit pass will be mailed to you automatically before the first of each month.
- You may cancel the automatic deduction any time before the 15th of the preceding month.
