Photo ID Cards
Monthly, semester or annual passes require an
OC Transpo Photo ID card
Effective March 1, 2010
OC Transpo passes include a Photo ID card, which must match the type of pass you are using and must accompany your bus pass voucher when you ride.
Photo ID cards are only available at OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres. The costs are:
- Adult and Senior ...... $8.50
- Student ................ $6.25
Customers requesting a photo ID must provide identification — such as another photo ID card. Or you can complete the following form to confirm your identity: Application Form for OC Transpo Identification Card
Validate your Pass
When you purchase a pass voucher, you must write your Photo ID Card number on the pass voucher in ink with large, clear print before you can use it on the bus.
Place your ID card in the top half of the plastic wallet and the pass portion in the bottom half so the ID numbers line up.
Write your name and address on the back of your pass to protect it if it's lost or stolen.

Don't forget to validate your pass!
Remember to write your Photo ID Card number on the pass voucher.
If you have not done this, the pass is not valid and you would be subject to a fine.
Student Photo ID Cards
An OC Transpo Student photo ID card is required if you intend to use a student pass voucher. The photo ID can be used with a monthly, semester or annual student pass.
Student photo ID cards cost $6.25 and must be renewed every year.
To qualify for a Student photo ID, you'll need:
- Photo identification or acceptable signed identification
- Proof of full-time status as a student at an eligible school
- Proof of Ontario residency
Photo ID's are available year-round at OC Transpo Sales Centres. At the beginning of the school year on specified dates, the student Photo ID's are also available at City of Ottawa Client Service Centres.
Student photo IDs are sometimes available on campus. Campus photo ID sessions are organized at the start of each school year.
