Proof of Payment
Be ready to show your Proof of Payment
On the O-Train, O-Train platform, on any articulated (long) and Double Deckers buses, you are required to have proof of payment.
The following serve as proof of payment:
- Pass*
- DayPass
- Transfer
- O-Train ticket (O-Train only)
* IMPORTANT: Remember to write your Photo ID Card number on the pass voucher. If you have not done this, the pass is not valid and you would be subject to a fine.
If you pay with cash, bus tickets, O-Train ticket or top up a pass, you need to board by the front door and the operator will give you a transfer as your POP receipt. Keep your POP receipt for the duration of your trip.
Pass holders who don't need a POP receipt may board articulated buses by the rear doors.
Be prepared for fare inspection
You may be asked to show proof of payment at any time. You must show proof of payment to Operators, Transit Fare Enforcement Officers and Transit Law Enforcement Officers upon request. Anyone unable to provide proof of payment may be fined $150.00
