Student Eligibility

Student discount rates are only available
for full-time students aged 13-19*.

High School Students
Documentation required when applying for a Student Photo ID:
Only full-time students aged 13-19 who are residents of Ontario are eligible:
- Photo ID or proof of identification (acceptable signed identification with your address on it)
- Proof of fulltime student status
- Proof of age
If you are older or appear to be older than typical secondary school-age students, you must show a student identification or proof of age.
Students aged 18 or 19 must also provide a form, obtained from the school office and completed by the school, indicating that they are at school on a full-time basis.
Post-Secondary Students
Documentation required when applying for a Student Photo ID:
Only full-time students aged 13-19 who are residents of Ontario are eligible:
- Photo ID or proof of identification (acceptable signed identification with your address on it)
- Proof of fulltime student status(see below)
- Proof of age
Algonquin College students can provide an official timetable indicating full time status.
Dominican College: school identification with current year and full time status, or tuition receipt
La Cité Collégiale: student card
St. Paul University: copy of course registration, or tuition receipt
University of Québec in Gatineau: copy of course registration and tuition receipt
Students on a Co-op Work Term
Documentation required when applying for a Student Photo ID:
Only full-time students aged 13-19 who are residents of Ontario are eligible:
- Photo ID or proof of identification (acceptable signed identification with your address on it)
- Proof of fulltime student status*
- Proof of age
* Students that are on a ‘Co-op' work-term need to provide either proof of fulltime enrollment or a letter on company letterhead stating they are in Ottawa for a Co-op work-term, confirming their fulltime status.
Out-of-town Students
Documentation required when applying for a Student Photo ID:
Only full-time students aged 13-19 who are residents of Ontario are eligible:
- Photo ID or proof of identification (acceptable signed identification with your address on it)
- Proof of fulltime student status*
- Proof of age
* Out-of-town students can bring a letter on the school's letterhead confirming full time status, a school registration receipt or a tuition receipt.
Students attending Private Vocational Institutions
Documentation required when applying for a Student Photo ID:
Only full-time students aged 13-19 who are residents of Ontario are eligible:
- Photo ID or proof of identification (acceptable signed identification with your address on it)
- Proof of fulltime student status *
- Proof of age
* Students attending Private Vocational Institutions can obtain an OC Transpo form from the school office and present the form with proof of identification to an OC Transpo Sales and Information Centre.
Only the registered PVI (Adult Private Vocational Institutions) schools listed below are eligible:
