'6-paks' for $7.80. They are sold at OC Transpo Sales and Information Centres; Client Service Centres (CSC) and also at over 300 vendors

Some Vendors may only sell the tickets in the 'packs of 6', but at the Sales and Information Centres, you can buy any number of tickets.

NOTE: Bus tickets are NOT ACCEPTED on the O-Train.

The only bus tickets that are accepted on the bus as valid fare are the purple ($1.30) OC Transpo tickets.

The old blue $1.25 tickets can be exchanged at an OC Transpo Sales Centre towards the purchase of new tickets or a pass.

  • Regular bus pass
  • Bus transfer
  • DayPass
  • STO bus passes and bus transfers
  • Children 11 and under ride free on the O-Train.

O-Train Tickets

O-Train TicketO-Train tickets cost $2.85, and are sold from the vending machine near the entrance of each O-Train station platform. They can be exchanged for a transfer when you board a bus.

The O-Train ticket vending machines are solar-powered, more accessible, and can be reprogrammed remotely. The ticket machines accept coins (except pennies) and credit cards (Mastcard, Visa and American Express), which is beneficial for many customers, especially visitors. The machine does not give change. If there is a machine malfunction and it cannot print a ticket for you, your money will be refunded automatically.

The ticket design is black and red on white, with terms and conditions printed on the reverse. They are valid on the date shown until the expiry time, similar to a POP transfer, but they do not have a 2-digit security code.

The O-Train operates on the POP system which means customers must have 'proof of payment' and present it on request, whether they're on the O-Train or the station platform.

O-Train Tickets on Buses

O-Train tickets are accepted a regular fare on buses. Top up is as follows:

  • Express routes: $1 or 1 bus ticket
  • Rural Express routes: $2 or 2 bus tickets

If you are transferring to a bus, please give your O-Train ticket to the operator. Get a transfer from the operator if you are are going to transfer to another bus, or if you are on an articluated bus, so that you will have POP.

  • Dollar bills go in the ticket/bill slot only and must be unfolded.
  • O-Train tickets go in the same slot as tickets and bills.
Transfers and DayPasses
  • Transfers and DayPasses must be shown to the operator - do not deposit them in the farebox.
