Express fares replace rural express rates on Stittsville routes Route 261, 262, 263Read More
Effective 1 March 2010, rural express fares will no longer be required on Stittsville routes 261, 262 and 263.
'Urban' express fares will apply. This change is a part of the 2010 Transit budget approved by City Council in January, which continues the multi-year transition of Stittsville to urban transit service standards.
Riders purchasing a new pass for March should buy an express pass, at the new monthly price of $114.00 for adults, or $85.50 for students.

On Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 11 am - 1 pm, the St. Patrick's Day Parade will occur on the following streets:
- Laurier Avenue between Ottawa City Hall and Bank Street;
- Bank Street between Laurier Avenue and Lansdowne Park.
Temporary detours may occur for routes that travel on the these streets.

Effective on Monday, March 15th at 9 am, construction of the Southwest Transitway Extension between Strandherd Stn. and Jockvale Rd. will begin. This detour will continue for approximately one year.
Route 95 Orléans / Route 181 Bayshore / Route 406:
Northbound service on Route 95 Orléans, Route 181 Bayshore and Route 406 to Scotiabank Place will be revised to travel via Riocan Avenue instead of Marketplace Avenue and Greenbank Road.
The following bus stops will not be in use (560 #):

#1248 (Greenbank northbound, north of Marketplace)
Service will be available at bus stops #3616 and #0719 on Riocan north.
Service in the southbound direction will be unaffected.

Afternoon trips on Route 73 will detour via Marketplace Avenue and Riocan Avenue to Strandherd Station. Route 73 will service it's regular stops, but will NOT STOP along the detour routing to avoid further delays to customers.

Both of the upper-level escalators are temporarily out of service. This is a planned replacement; part of the station's ongoing maintenance program. We expect full escalator service to be restored by mid-March and regret any inconvenience you may experience due to this outage.
The escalator on the lower north side is temporarily out of service. We expect the elevator to be out of service for a few days and regret any inconvenience this may cause you.
