Starting Wednesday, September 1st at 9 am, as part of the Transitway Station Rehabilitation Works, construction activity will impact Lees Upper and Lower Levels for approximately 6 weeks (weather permitting).

From July 20th until approximately September 3rd, Hazeldean Road will be closed from west of Stittsville Main Street to Carp Road for road construction, affecting route 261.

Route 261 to Downtown: From Denali/Stittsville Main Street, the bus travels on Stittsville Main Street, crosses Hazeldean Road, continues on Stittsville Main Street, right on Carp Road and left on Hazeldean Road to the regular route.

Route 261 to Stittsville: Travels on Westridge Drive, right on Hazeldean Road, right on Carp Road and left on Stittsville Main Street to the regular route.

Note: Route 163 is not affected by this detour.

Fallowfield Station will be under construction into the fall that will involve a realignment of the station so that it is parallel to the VIA tracks and in line with the Southwest Transitway extension. Improvements include new shelters and platforms, which will be relocated, a pedestrian-friendly crosswalk, and 70 additional parking spaces. The work will be carried out in stages and may require occasional adjustments to pedestrian crossing areas, parking access and egress, and traffic lanes.

The parking spaces along the east side of the east parking lot have been fenced off in order to expand the parking lot and are not available until further notice. The attached diagram shows where the parking will be removed, in addition to the areas that are currently under construction. All areas shown on the diagram will be under construction for the next few weeks. Construction along the north side of the Transitway will begin shortly.

NEW: Starting September 7th, the Transitway between Via Park Place and the west bus loop/lay-up area, will be closed for a few weeks. All regular bus operations will be maintained at all times.

This work is the first stage of a two-stage project to upgrade the infrastructure of the Albert and Slater St Transitway Stations. Each of the stations will be reconfigured including the construction of new platforms, the replacement of existing shelters and the construction of concrete bus lanes within the bus station zone.

There are no detours as a result of this construction.

PLEASE NOTE: Customers who currently board Routes 27 and 40 at Kent Station on Slater St in the afternoon will have to instead catch their bus at the temporary platform located on Slater St., east of Kent St.

Ottawa River Parkway detours every Sunday from 9 am - 1pm from May 23 - Septmber 5.

Routes 87, 95, 96 and 97: In the westbound direction, between Westboro and Lincoln Fields, the buses will travel via Scott, Churchill, Richmond, Woodroffe and Carling. At Lincoln Fields Station, routes 95 & 96 will use stop 4B, and route 97 Kanata will use stop 3A. A temporary bus stop will be installed on Richmond Road westbound at Golden Avenue for Routes 87, 95, 96 and 97 in lieu of the usual westbound stop at Dominion Station.

The City and its contractor will be doing water main reconstruction on Carling Ave starting just east of Corkstown Road to the Ottawa River Parkway. This work starts Tuesday, May 25th after 9 am until approximately the end of November.

Phase 1 will have crews starting just east of Corkstown Road and working across Carling to the north side at Holly Acres Road along Carling Ave to Bayshore Drive. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.

No detours will occur, but there may be delays during the day while crews are working the construction zone.

Starting Monday, April 19, until approximately October 1, route 145 will be detoured due to the closure of Earl Armstrong, between Spratt and Limebank, for road widening. Route 145 will be removed from Canyon Walk south of Spratt and a portion of Earl Armstrong east of Spratt. Buses will detour from Canyon Walk southbound via Spratt to Earl Armstrong and the Plaza.

Effective on Monday, March 15th at 9 am, construction of the Southwest Transitway Extension between Strandherd Stn. and Jockvale Rd. will begin. This detour will continue for approximately one year.

From July 20th until approximately September 3rd, Hazeldean Road will be closed from west of Stittsville Main Street to Carp Road for road construction, affecting route 261.

Route 261 to Downtown: From Denali/Stittsville Main Street, the bus travels on Stittsville Main Street, crosses Hazeldean Road, continues on Stittsville Main Street, right on Carp Road and left on Hazeldean Road to the regular route.

Route 261 to Stittsville: Travels on Westridge Drive, right on Hazeldean Road, right on Carp Road and left on Stittsville Main Street to the regular route.

Note: Route 163 is not affected by this detour.

Fallowfield Station will be under construction into the fall that will involve a realignment of the station so that it is parallel to the VIA tracks and in line with the Southwest Transitway extension. Improvements include new shelters and platforms, which will be relocated, a pedestrian-friendly crosswalk, and 70 additional parking spaces. The work will be carried out in stages and may require occasional adjustments to pedestrian crossing areas, parking access and egress, and traffic lanes.

The parking spaces along the east side of the east parking lot have been fenced off in order to expand the parking lot and are not available until further notice. The attached diagram shows where the parking will be removed, in addition to the areas that are currently under construction. All areas shown on the diagram will be under construction for the next few weeks. Construction along the north side of the Transitway will begin shortly.

NEW: Starting September 7th, the Transitway between Via Park Place and the west bus loop/lay-up area, will be closed for a few weeks. All regular bus operations will be maintained at all times.

From July 5 - November 26, Pleasant Park Rd., will have only the westbound lane open from Dorval Ave. to Delmar Dr. for road reconstruction work.

Route 149 Elmvale: Travel east on Pleasant Park Road, Right Delmar Street, Left Kilborn Ave, Left Haig Drive, and Right Pleasant Park to it's regular route.

Starting Monday June 14th after 9:00 am until approximately the end of November 2010, Carling Ave starting just west the Ottawa River Parkway will be closed due to water main reconstruction.Construction will begin west of the Ottawa River Parkway and work west along Carling Ave to Bayshore Drive. Carling Ave will be down to one lane in the westbound direction at all times. We are not expecting any detours as part of this project, but there will be delays during the day while crews are working the construction zone.

From June 21 - September 20, the following 5 Transitway Stations along Albert and Slater Streets will be moved temporarily due to construction:

Temporary platforms will be in service in lieu of each of the existing stations.

This work is the first stage of a two-stage project to upgrade the infrastructure of the Albert and Slater St Transitway Stations. Each of the stations will be reconfigured including the construction of new platforms, the replacement of existing shelters and the construction of concrete bus lanes within the bus station zone.

There are no detours as a result of this construction.

PLEASE NOTE: Customers who currently board Routes 27 and 40 at Kent Station on Slater St in the afternoon will have to instead catch their bus at the temporary platform located on Slater St., east of Kent St.

Starting May 31 until approximately mid-sept., College Ave and Navaho Dr will be closed due to construction. Detours are in effect for routes 118, 155, and 873.

Route 155 Baseline: Regular route to Navaho Dr, left on Woodroffe, access Baseline Station through South entrance.
Route 873 Nepean Centre: Regular route to Woodroffe, access Baseline Station through South entrance, service stop 2A, return to South entrance, left on Woodroffe to regular route.

For service during this detour, please use Baseline Station.

Ottawa River Parkway detours every Sunday from 9 am - 1pm from May 23 - Septmber 5.

Routes 87, 95, 96 and 97: In the westbound direction, between Westboro and Lincoln Fields, the buses will travel via Scott, Churchill, Richmond, Woodroffe and Carling. At Lincoln Fields Station, routes 95 & 96 will use stop 4B, and route 97 Kanata will use stop 3A. A temporary bus stop will be installed on Richmond Road westbound at Golden Avenue for Routes 87, 95, 96 and 97 in lieu of the usual westbound stop at Dominion Station.

The City and its contractor will be doing water main reconstruction on Carling Ave starting just east of Corkstown Road to the Ottawa River Parkway. This work starts Tuesday, May 25th after 9 am until approximately the end of November.

Phase 1 will have crews starting just east of Corkstown Road and working across Carling to the north side at Holly Acres Road along Carling Ave to Bayshore Drive. One lane in each direction will be maintained at all times.

No detours will occur, but there may be delays during the day while crews are working the construction zone.

Starting Monday, April 19, until approximately October 1, route 145 will be detoured due to the closure of Earl Armstrong, between Spratt and Limebank, for road widening. Route 145 will be removed from Canyon Walk south of Spratt and a portion of Earl Armstrong east of Spratt. Buses will detour from Canyon Walk southbound via Spratt to Earl Armstrong and the Plaza.

For service during this detour, please use the route 99 bus stops along Spratt Road.

Effective on Monday, March 15th at 9 am, construction of the Southwest Transitway Extension between Strandherd Stn. and Jockvale Rd. will begin. This detour will continue for approximately one year.

Route 95 Orléans / Route 181 Bayshore / Route 406:
Northbound service on Route 95 Orléans, Route 181 Bayshore and Route 406 to Scotiabank Place will be revised to travel via Riocan Avenue instead of Marketplace Avenue and Greenbank Road.

The following bus stops will not be in use (560 #):
    #1387 (Marketplace westbound)
    #1248 (Greenbank northbound, north of Marketplace)

Service will be available at bus stops #3616 and #0719 on Riocan north. Service in the southbound direction will be unaffected.

Route 73:
Afternoon trips on Route 73 will detour via Marketplace Avenue and Riocan Avenue to Strandherd Station. Route 73 will service it's regular stops, but will NOT STOP along the detour routing to avoid further delays to customers.

Starting Tuesday September 7th after 9:00 am until December 17th 2010 approximately, Wellington Street will be closed from Bayswater Avenue to Preston Street due to construction. The following detour will be in effect.

Route 2 Bayshore / Westboro: Travel Somerset Street, Right Preston Street, Left Albert Street, Left Bayview/Bayswater, Right Somerset Street to regular route.

Route 2 Downtown: No change.

Gold Permit Parking spaces at the Telesat Park and Ride will be reduced to 10 spaces from September 12 - October 22, due to extensive construction scheduled for the residential area nearby.

On Labour Day, a Sunday schedule will operate, so only those routes that normally run on Sundays will be in service. The schedules on some routes may be adjusted, so please check your schedule. (Just choose the appropriate date and route from the drop-down lists.)
